New Patient Process Explained | Chiropractor in Winter Garden, FL

A behind-the-scenes look at Atlas Injury to Health's thorough two-day new patient process — from consultation to personalized care plan.

Key Takeaways

  • The new patient process spans two appointments, giving the clinical team time to thoroughly analyze findings before recommending any treatment.
  • A detailed consultation captures all symptoms and concerns before any physical assessment begins.
  • Physical examinations cover the full spine — cervical through sacral — as well as the extremities, not just the area of chief complaint.
  • 3D digital X-rays are used to precisely map upper cervical misalignment and evaluate other areas of the spine, eliminating guesswork.
  • Every care plan is individually tailored based on what imaging and examination reveal, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

Overview

What to Expect as a New Patient at Atlas Injury to Health

Walking into a new healthcare provider can feel uncertain — so at Atlas Injury to Health, we've built a process designed to remove the guesswork entirely. Our new patient experience is a deliberate, two-day comprehensive intake focused on one goal: understanding everything that's going on in your body before we ever begin treatment.

Day one starts with a detailed one-on-one consultation where we sit down with you, listen closely, and document all of your concerns and complaints. That's followed by a thorough physical examination covering the full spine — neck to tailbone — as well as the extremities. Because while we are upper cervical specific doctors, we treat the entire spine and skeletal system. We then capture 3D digital X-rays, including precise imaging of the upper cervical spine to identify misalignments, as well as X-rays of any additional areas of complaint. We don't guess — we look.

Day two is when our clinical team reviews all of that information for your specific case and crafts a fully individualized care plan — one that's tailored to what we see, what we can do, and what will genuinely move the needle for your health and wellbeing. No cookie-cutter protocols. Just a precise game plan built around you.

At Atlas Injury Health, we have a very specific new patient process for a very specific reason. We want to find out everything that's wrong with the patient so we can help them to their best. We do a detailed consultation where we'll come in and sit with the patient and go over all the concerns and complaints. And then from that, we do a detailed physical examination to figure out what's going on in the spine from the neck to the tailbone and beyond. We want to see everything in the spine and actually the extremities because we do everything. Even though we're upper cervical specific doctors, we take care of the entire spine and the entire skeleton the best that we can. We do detailed x-rays. We do 3D x-rays with digital x-rays to get an outlay of the top of the neck and how it's misaligned for our upper cervical work. And we also take x-rays of the rest of the spine and the areas of complaint because we going to be working on those areas We want to make sure that we not guessing on what what going on We wanna see specifically what needs to be done from our end to the spine through those x So we are very, very comprehensive in that consultation, examine x-rays. And then it's actually a two-day process where we take our time to go over all that information for every individual patient, to devise a game plan that is curtailed for that patient to suit them, to get them to their best at their ability, on what we see and what we can do, and we give them the best game plan moving forward for their health and wellbeing. And that's how we do it here at Alice Interdill. Thank you.
